Devices vs Screens: The Key Difference
IPTV plans are usually described by the number of screens (some providers say connections). A screen is one stream playing at a time. It is not the number of devices where your login is saved.
Think of it like the number of people who can watch at once, not the number of TVs in your home. With a one-screen plan you might have the app set up on your living room TV and your tablet, but only one of them can play a channel at any moment. With a two-screen plan, both can play at the same time.
How Our Plans Handle Screens
Essential
$29 for 3 months, 1 screen. One stream at a time.
Premium
$49 for 12 months, 1 screen. One stream at a time, lowest cost per month.
Supreme
$79 for 12 months, 2 screens. Two streams at once on different devices.
Which Plan Fits Your Household?
One screen is enough if...
- You live alone or usually watch together on the same TV.
- You switch between devices, for example the TV in the evening and a tablet in bed, but never at the same time.
- Your internet connection is modest and would struggle with two HD streams at once.
Two screens make sense if...
- Two people regularly want to watch different things at the same time.
- Someone watches live TV while another person catches up on a film or series.
- You want a second room covered without having to coordinate who is watching.
Before choosing two screens, make sure your connection can carry both streams. Our internet speed guide gives practical targets per screen, and our IPTV buyer's checklist compares the cost per month of each plan.
Setting Up the Same Login on Several Devices
- Pick an app for each device. IPTV Smarters Pro runs on most devices, including iPhone, iPad, computers, and many Smart TVs. TiviMate is a strong choice on Android TV and Fire TV. Smart IPTV is an option on supported Smart TVs.
- Use the same details everywhere. Enter your Xtream Codes details or M3U link on each device. Our installation guides cover iPhone and iPad, PC and Mac, Smart TVs, Fire TV, and Android.
- Give each device a recognizable playlist name. For example "Living room" and "Bedroom". It makes support conversations faster if something goes wrong.
- Test one device at a time first. Confirm each one plays a channel on its own before testing simultaneous viewing.
Fixing "Max Connections" and Stream Limit Errors
If a channel refuses to start and you see a message about connections or a limit being reached, the account is already streaming the maximum number of screens. The cause is often a device you are not even looking at.
Common causes
- An app left running in the background. Pressing Home on a TV remote or swiping away on a phone does not always stop the stream. The app may still be pulling video.
- A TV turned off with the app still playing. Some TVs and streaming sticks keep apps active in standby for a while.
- A previous session that has not timed out. After switching devices quickly, the server can take a short time to register that the first stream has ended.
- Someone else using your login. If you never use more screens than your plan allows but keep seeing the error, your details may have been shared.
How to fix it
- Stop playback on every other device, then close the app fully from the recent apps list or with a force stop.
- Wait about a minute, then start the channel again on the device you want to use.
- If it still fails, restart the device you are trying to watch on.
- If the error continues with nothing else running, contact us through the contact page. We can check the account and help you reset access if your details may have been shared.
If the problem is a login or server error rather than a connection limit, use our Xtream Codes and M3U troubleshooting guide.
Keep Your Account to Your Household
Your login details are the key to your account. Sharing them outside your household quickly leads to connection-limit errors and slower support, because we cannot tell which streams are yours. Keep the details private, avoid posting screenshots that show them, and let us know if you think they have leaked.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install my IPTV login on more than one device?
In most cases you can save your login on several devices you own, such as a living room TV and a tablet. The limit that matters is how many of them stream at the same moment, which is set by the number of screens on your plan. If you want to confirm the setup for your household, ask support before ordering.
What happens if I go over my screen limit?
The extra stream usually fails to start, shows a connection-limit message, or causes another stream to stop. Close the app fully on the other device, wait a minute, and try again.
Can I upgrade from one screen to two later?
Contact support with your current plan details and we will explain the options available for your account.
Can I use my subscription while traveling?
Your login works over the internet, so you can generally sign in from another location within your screen limit. Streaming quality depends on the local connection, and you are responsible for following the laws of the place you are visiting.
